A little classroom. A world of big ideas. Independent class community
ONE SCHOOL YEAR. TEAMWORK. STRATEGY.
The Stock Market Competition.
Build a portfolio. Defend your decisions. See how your strategy performs.
Throughout the school year, students will compete in teams to create the most profitable stock portfolio. Each team will research companies, make investment decisions, and reflect on the results together.
The money is simulated. The companies, the news, and your decisions are real.
Follow the market, make your decisions, and be ready to defend them. Let’s see who becomes the first winner of our Stock Market Competition!

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS
01 / RESEARCH
Build your case.
Investigate companies and explain what could drive their performance. Think about both opportunities and risks.
02 / COLLABORATE
Choose as a team.
Discuss your options, agree on a portfolio strategy, and record the reasoning behind your choices.
03 / REFLECT
Learn from the market.
Track performance over the year. Compare outcomes with your expectations and explain what you would do differently.
THE COMPETITION PLAYBOOK
Real companies. Virtual money.
Each team starts with $25,000 in virtual money. Research real companies, follow real news, and make investment decisions together throughout the school year.
At least one different stock per team member.
A five-person team owns at least five different stocks. Every member follows at least one company.
Build your portfolio
Choose from our 25 competition companies. Buy whole shares only, stay within your available cash, and keep at least one different stock per team member at all times. Holding leftover cash is allowed.
Follow the news
Every member researches their company. Use the ripple chain: news → business → results → investors.
Monthly Trade Day
Trades happen only on Trade Day, in class—not between sessions. Use the price shown in class for every buy and sell.
Decide, record, explain
The team votes to buy, sell, or do nothing. Every decision needs a news-based reason in your log. Present your reasoning to the class; every team member speaks.
